- A phosphate-free, biodegradable, water rinsable surfactant formulated specifically for laboratory and medical cleaning applications. A 2% aqueous solution has a pH of 10.7. Recommended for use in ultrasonic cleaners and for cleaning glass, ceramics, plastics, glass fibre, rubber, stainless steel and ferrous metals and is used widely as a radioactive decontaminant. Being alkaline, an aqueous solution will etch certain metals such as aluminium and zinc. Supplied in a plastic container
